Viola is a slightly flared skirt with a decorative asymmetric pleat on the front piece. The skirt has a wide waistband that is slightly higher at the back than the front, allowing it to hang nicely on the hips without getting caught on the stomach. It also features insert pockets in the side seams that are attached to the bottom edge of the waistband for the best possible support and to prevent the pocket bag from adding volume to the hips. Viola can either become your best basic skirt or a real party skirt depending on the fabric. Sew it in a comfortable viscose, tencel, linen, or lightweight wool for a sleek look, or sew it in a smooth denim or even in silk with a bit of structure for a garment with a bit more attitude!
